The Association of Scientific Surveyors, Economists and Engineers of Cyprus (ASCEIC) was founded in 1970. The founding members were mainly young people with vision and ambitions for the consolidation of the profession in Cyprus. The Association and all its members are registered members of the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus (STC), in addition the majority of the members are approved members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

The main reason for the establishment of the Association was the need for recognition and consolidation of the profession in both the private and public sectors.
